A Powerful Creative Collaboration Takes Flight!
A Dance of Birds is a unique artistic picture book that explores the wide world of birds with childlike fascination. Fine tissue-paper collage illustrations bring colorful birds to life with a delightful message for young children.
Collaborating with Sherri Kay Linnemeyer was a dream come true for both of us! We worked seamlessly together over the course of a year, sharing a passion for birds and art, and created a sweet picture book with bright, cheerful visuals, brimming with the integrity of original artwork and positive messages that make kids smile. And it was fun! Writing my first novel was a deeply fulfilling experience on a personal level, but when the creative process is shared, the joy upon completion is exponential! This collaboration broke new ground for Sea Pony Books and raised the bar for future projects. I am forever grateful for the enthusiasm, the work ethic, and the talent of Sherri Linnemeyer. She is truly one-of-a-kind, and I adore her.
We believe that children deserve to be inspired by beautiful artistry, and Sea Pony Books intends to publish a long list of children's books in close collaboration with artists living in Eastern Oregon. We are a thriving creative community in Baker City, and I intend to collaborate with numerous artists working together to fulfill a mission: to create beautiful books for kids with original artwork and messaging about the interconnectedness of life, nature, and humanity, promoting unity, happiness, imagination, and the power of following your dreams. The messaging will always be universal, and we intend on translating our books into numerous languages to spread the joy of human-authored and illustrated books, and eventually animations, around the world.
